Reblog pleeeeeease :)
Just a simple one but this will probably be my biggest song yet :)
Take my hand, let’s make a stand, I’ll show you how
Make no sound, let’s leave this town, I’ll take you now
Far away from it all, far away from the fall
Take this chance, let’s break this trance, coz we’re leaving now
Far away
Drop it all, we made the call, we’ve gotta get out of this town
Don’t think twice, we leave tonight, escape what’s bringing us down
Get away from it all, get away from the fall
Don’t look back, the past is black, but it’s fading now
Far away
Hey there :)
The chords should be on the Alkira tumblr. Here: http://alkiramusic.tumblr.com/
Just a home recording of a song that means a lot to me.
If you could reblog this it’d mean the world to me <3
LYRICS:
Tonight my heart is all yours, until the sunrise but then I will be gone
On with my life, until the next time that I get in my car and I just drive into the night
I’m just another street closer to your door
Feels like forever but for you it’s worth it all
Coz I’d give you my all
This can’t last forever coz my heart wants to go it alone
My life is perfect and I don’t wanna lose it all
Coz I’d be losing it all
The way that you look tonight makes my heart beat so slow
The way that you look into my eyes baby I know
That you are the only one that could ever make me whole
But tonight my heart it beats alone
Sometimes I think about those nights, where we’d sit and talk until the morning brought its light
Slipping away until the break of day into your arms, it’s where I want to stay
Now I’m just another street closer to your door
Feels like forever but for you it’s worth it all
Coz I’d give you my all
This can’t last forever coz my heart wants to go it alone
My life is perfect and I don’t wanna lose it all
Coz I’d be losing it all
The way that you look tonight makes my heart beat so slow
The way that you look into my eyes baby I know
That you are the only one that could ever make me whole
But tonight my heart it beats alone
Sneaky preview of something I just started working on. Ignore every instrument except vocals. They’re just guide tracks until my DJ friend starts work on a proper beat :) It’s gonna be huuuuuge.
I’m proud to present a little demo that I put together with 2 of my songwriting students.
The lyrics were written 90% by Tess. All I did was tidy them up.
The melody was about 50/50 between myself and Bronte but I’m confident they’ll both be writing at this standard without me soon :)
Anyway, let us know what you think!
Here’s sneak preview of what I’m working on. It’s only 50% finished.
Still needs a heap more instruments and a lot of editing :)
Let me know what you think? And what you’d like to hear etc.
Generally a music blog but I do reply to these messages occasionally :)
Recorded this live in one take. A little something I wrote earlier today :)
I’m falling asleep to the sound of your heart beating next to me
I’ve fallen so deep for the way your arms surround me like the sea
When morning comes, you have to go, I’ll feel the cold so much more
When you leave you’re taking me from my place, the place i’d always rather be
Oh baby please, stay with me
Please say this means you’re falling for me
And I just can’t believe you’re here with me
Wish you could see, you’re perfect for me
Yeah I just can’t believe
